Her striking appearance and composed demeanor ensure she commands attention wherever she goes! Butter has demonstrated her versatility through a variety of work experiences. After she was broke she was used to pony racehorses on the track. And was also used to haul elk out from wooded areas during hunting trips. Butter spent 10 months turned out to pasture to grow and mature before transitioning to full-time ranch work on a large cattle operation in Central Texas. If I had to find something negative to say about her it would be that if she has been sitting for a long period of time, she may hump up when first saddled. But she has never offered to buck or be problematic in anyway. If Butter got to choose how she spent her days it would be doing things at a slower pace with a loose rein like checking cattle/fences. But she will get up and go if asked! Butter is accustomed and to being around dogs and children. Our son has often ridden butter and checked pastures on her. Our kids feed her, groom her, bath her and spend time around her daily. At the prime age of 5 Butter has a wealth of potential ahead of her. Her well-rounded foundation makes her a suitable candidate for a diverse range of disciplines including roping, barrels, trail riding or continued ranch work. And in the future she should make an exceptional broodmare! The only blemish on her is a scar on her head, which she got as a 2 yr old. It can be seen in the photos.
