Franklin is a beautiful 7 year old buckskin with a hint of frost hairs in his mane and tail. He stands at 15.2 hands tall and all the shape you could want.
Franklin is the family-safe trail horse everyone is looking for. If you can sit in the saddle and hold the reins you can ride Franklin. He has an old sole and calm demeanor to him.
Franklin is a point and go type of horse. He has been hauled and trail ridden extensively through many different types of terrain. He is sure footed and honest. Franklin is not spooky and will cross creeks, go through any body type of water, thick brush, logs, bridges, rough terrain, up and down cliffs with ease. He has been rode on the road and is use to all kinds of traffic, heavy machinery and ATV’s. He is also dog safe. You can ride Franklin out alone with ease or with other horses. He will make a great horse for any level of rider. He has been a sweet and well mannered gelding the whole time I have owned him. He’s been my personal horse for a little over a year and is always the same horse.
He's also been used to sort and pen cattle, pony colts and check fences. He is very good when it comes to doing any work around cattle. Previous owner pasture roped on him and dragged cattle in the branding pits.
Franklin is great with time off or ride him every day, he will be the same horse. You can even ride him bareback and bridless if you choose! He will stand still for you to get on him from the ground or a mounting block.
Franklin doesn’t care if he’s living outside in the pasture or in a stall he is happy either way. He will stand like a soldier quietly all day long. He stands to be groomed, fly spray, stands still to be saddled, takes the bridle with ease, bathed and loads like a dream. Franklin will walk all day if asked. He has a nice cowboy trot to him and transitions to a nice smooth short lope. He neck reins with ease, responsive to leg cues, backs and has a big stop when asked.
With good bone and feet, Franklin would be a great family horse for many years to come. Franklin is the young horse with an old sole that will last a lifetime. You sure don't find them like him every day.
